WordPress Themes You Must See By Solostream

Michael Pollock of solostream webstudioWhen I was searching for a new WordPress theme, I searched long and far. You know how it is when you’re looking for just…the right…one. For me it was something organized, clean, and unique. When I found Michael Pollock’s site, solostream webstudio, and his collection of themes, I knew I could stop looking. Read on and you’ll see why.

I ended up choosing his Zeke 1.0+Widgets theme and made a few modifications of my own. It has the right amount of space in the two right sidebars to handle my widgets and ads. But what I like most about this particular theme is that it had a “featured post” feature, which I haven’t seen too much on other blogs I frequent. Posts that are in this category and viewed on my home page will see how the post goes a little wider than the ones below it, plus it has a tinted background.

Michael is very talented. He has a great eye for structure, placement, and color. All the themes below are free except for WP-Glory. This is one of the best themes I’ve seen. I encourage you to take a look at the live demo.

One of the many great things I like about the WP-Glory theme is that you can pack so much information above the fold yet still have it pleasing to the eye. Be sure to click the thumbnail above to view my notes. In summary, Michael has grouped together four of the most popular things one is bound to find on blogs and placed it just above the title of the first post: the latest post, the about page, the most popular posts, the most discussed posts.

Here are more of his themes that I think are worth checking out their live demos:

  1. I really like Simplicity. I just may have to make a switch soon ;P

  2. @Mike: you know, that’s one of the ones I was considering before deciding on Zeke. You can’t go wrong with these, and with your designing skills I’m certain you can make it sing!

  3. Simplicity has the potential to be a magazine style theme with a little tweaking. I’m actually a regular visitor there as well haha.

  4. These are fantastic designs. I will be using them really soon. Thanks for the information.
