It bothers me that the Big G has taken that strong of an approach. It has taken me a while, but I can understand their viewpoint on paid posts, but to say that a blog or site is to be penalized over offering paid advertising in a sidebar or wherever is a bit heavy-handed. I would think they’d want to avoid being seen as someone who is only trying to promote their own ad network by trashing others. I like Google a lot; I use many of their products. But it’s things like what they did to you that causes me to scratch my head in wonderment.

Mark, Google penalized me for many reasons. I do sell other dofollow advertising, and if not the reviews, then it was probably my advertise page and the links in the sidebar that got me.

So Google penalized you for SR stuff? I was wondering if they focused more on PPP since they require you to include code on posts written for them. I can’t wait to see how PPP’s new SocialSpark is going to work out since they won’t be basing it on PR.

I love Sponsored Reviews, and I was excited to see the mini improvements as well. I agree with what Brown Baron said though - a section for nofollow advertisers. I've been making quite a bit with SR lately, but in Google's latest PageRank update I was downgraded to a zero, which burned a bit. In order for Google to restore my PageRank, do they want me to remove every dofollow link or advertisement I've ever done, or will a simple "I won't do it again" be enough? =| Tay - Super Blogging's last blog post..Are Audio Ads the Next Big Thing?

That’s not a bad idea, actually. It would seem to me that getting the word out would be a higher priority; that way, the linking would take care of itself.

Getting traffic to a porn site is just like anything else. You have to build links to your terms etc. Adult sites is my recent project

SR is good, they havent really taken hits like the PPP crowd has.

Did someone mention torches? Haha. I like the revamp. One thing SR should add is a section where it specifies whether an advertiser allows nofollowed links.
