When size matters, you need something to compare to. Am I right? Well, it can be a little frustrating to visualize the actual size of a product you’re considering when you’re shopping online when you have nothing to compare it to.
Sizeasy can ease that frustration by giving you a way to enter the dimensions of the product you’re considering and compare it with something you can relate to, thus helping you make well-informed decisions.
Give us a demo, will ya?
Happy to. Let’s say you’re reading a post from, oh I don’t know, ShanKri-la. He recently posted a great review for a steal-of-a-deal on a 2 GB flash drive over at Buy.com (hurry, you can probably still get in on it!).
“So how big is that flash drive?” you may ponder. Just click on over to sizeasy, enter the dimensions, then save the item. I did all this without having to create an account. I seemed to get better results by converting the measurements to millimeters first on another site, but it does accept inches, too.
Now I can compare it to other objects that are in their database: a deck of cards, book of matches, iPod, etc.

The object in purple above is the size of the flash drive. Now that I can compare it to the other commonly known products, I feel pretty confident it’s going to fit on my key chain, for example. Notice the tabs that allow you to view it from different angles. That’s pretty thorough stuff, if you ask me.

So, I guess I can look forward to a contest here soon, Mark?
Nice find. I always try to visualize the size of a cell phone when I am looking at a picture. No more surprises, huh!
Stumbled!
@K: hehe…nah, not planning any contests for now, but could at some point. Thanks for the stumble!
