Recycle Your Cell Phone At CellForCash
-
Cell phone usage in the U.S. has sky rocketed to 235 million subscribers in 2007. That’s a lot of cell phones. And when you factor in new models and cheaper pricing plans with new incentives, that translates into a portion of the subscribers switching out their phones more frequently than their contracts expire.CellForCash addresses a growing concern over what happens to all those cell phones by offering you two options. You could decide to sell your cell phone. Or you could simply recycle your cell phone for free.
How much cash can I earn?
Well, that depends on the model of your phone. Let’s say you want to sell your Motorola KRZR K1. That’ll earn you $61. Want to sell your iPhone already? You can sell the 4GB model for $120, and the 8GB model for $165. That kind of cash could help soften the sting you probably got when you first heard about Apple reducing their pricing.
What do I do?
You select the model of your phone. Then you submit a request for a postage paid box to be mailed to you, so that you can send your phone to them. Then the cash is on its way. Can it be any simpler?
Like I mentioned above, there are a lot of incentives for users to ditch their cell phones for the newer models. That means more phones are either thrown away or just stored in a drawer somewhere in your house. A more environmental approach would be to properly dispose of them. Why? Toxicity for one thing. All the chemicals that go into making a cell phone are hazardous if left to waste somewhere in a landfill, which may eventually find their way into the water table. Nothing says yuck like battery-tasting water!
Win a Wii!
By answering a simple poll (come on, it’s only three questions!
) you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a Wii.Let’s see: you can help the environment or get a little cash for your effort. Nothing wrong with either of those options!

@Bush: hehe….thanks for visiting. It’s been a while, of course, I haven’t gotten much out either.
Yeah, I’m still working on a new logo for my header image, so maybe this weekend it’ll be ready for public viewing.

I used to work for a warranty company, and I ran the cellphone department. I would get boxes of cellphones in at a time. I recycled them too – I took all the small cellphones and made them into one giant cellphone sculpture. (And then threw it out later because what am I going to do with a big sculpture of a cellphone made out of smaller cellphones…
