I’ve Been Tagged - My Most Unpopular Posts

My friend the Baron of Brown Thoughts has tagged me with this little ditty: what are my favorite unpopular posts?

If I were to base it solely on lack of comments, that would be quite a few posts here — although I’m pleased to see more interactivity as the days go on. So I’m going to add to that: posts that I was hoping for more comments based on my hope that they would generate more discussion.

I’d have to say there are two posts of mine that I thought to be thought-provoking and might strike a nerve with readers due to the nature of them being political.

One was one of my recent posts: 5 Sympathies For The Devil. Even though I received a few comments for it from some regulars (I am thanking you!), it was actually more successful with the trackbacks — very successful. And that was only because it was part of ProBlogger’s writing contest in which everybody and their dog copied the entries of everyone else on their own blog.

I really put a lot of thought into that one and was expecting (hoping for?) a wide range of responses, from supporters to nay-sayers. I worried about the title being off-putting, but I decided to keep it on account of it’s appropriateness to the topic and the inevitable response of, “What the…?”

Another one of my posts was Credit Cards to Illegal Immigrants? What’s Next? This is one of those that strikes a chord with me and was hoping to hear more from readers that it struck a chord with them too. But in retrospect, I shouldn’t have really expected as much because my blog had only been three days old at the time I wrote it.

Now I’m tagging a couple of other friends on this one:

Matt of eJabs

  1. Thanks for the tag, I will definitely participate in this one, it looks fun because it’s the opposite of the usual type of meme. I love it! Have a great weekend!

  2. Oh man I should do something like this even without being tagged :P

I have a couple posts that people keep visiting via Google and yet no one bothers to reply

  3. Hi Christy, looking forward to what you write.

  4. @Mike: I would have tagged you, but I thought I’d give you a rest from responding to another one.

  5. Haha..no problem :) I always try to spread the tagging wealth around. In fact I need to go and find me more blogging pals, so I don’t have to keep tagging the same people over and over again and have them end up hating me :P
