If You Can’t Stand The Meat, Then Work Somewhere Else

Oh for the love of Pete! It was recently reported that a Muslim working at Target refused to touch the bacon in the customer’s grocery cart as she was scanning the contents. The cashier had to ask another co-worker to do the scanning.

It’s not that I am against her religious beliefs, it’s that she is expecting special treatment.

HamExcuse me, Miss Muslim Cashier, did you not know Target actually sold bacon? Didn’t you think that working as a cashier ALL TYPES OF PRODUCTS were going to come through your line?

This is just another example of Target bending to the wishes of the very small minority. A couple of years ago it was that they wouldn’t say, “Merry Christmas”, either verbally or in their advertising. And if memory serves, it was them that told the bell-ringers from the Salvation Army buh-bye one year.

And now it’s come to this: one of their own employees telling them that she won’t handle pork products. Hey, that’s okay, just don’t handle pork products somewhere else.

PigI mean, let’s have some common sense here instead of the over-sensitive, politically-correct way of doing things, shall we?

I’m not a genius, but I am a thinker, and if I’m afraid of heights, I’m not going to apply to be a window washer for skyscrapers. If I don’t swim, I’d make a pretty lousy lifeguard.

It’s time we stop giving in to this sort of nonsense, and start doing what’s right, not politically correct. This is America, remember? The Great American Melting Pot? But it’s fast becoming a place broken into many different cultures, some of which believe that they are entitled to special treatment.

    I couldn’t agree more.

  2. You are so right on with this. I too am heartily fed up with this “special” treatment and the way that some folk cater to the needs of the few. If you live in America, it is up to you to conform to us, not the other way around. K..done rant!

  3. Thank you both for your kind words. I can only hope that as more people start pushing back on this wave of insanity that common sense starts making a comeback.

  4. It’s the same over here m’love - I for one am standing to applaud this post!
