Whew! I thought it would never get here. I finally broke the top 10K level at Technorati.
So for those of you who are already there, perhaps you can answer me this question: precisely, when do the movie offers and book deals start coming in? I just need to make sure I have my calendar cleared for the meetings. LOL

And the checks! Don’t forget the checks!
Congratulations! Hopefully I’m not too far behind

Congratz!
It is always fun to hit a milestone like that, especially when you specifically targeted that particular milestone.

Oh how silly of me, of course, the checks should be arriving daily now.
@Christine
I read your post last night and thought I had commented on it. Maybe I forgot to press “submit”. Congrats to you too!
@Kyle
Looks like you’ll be hitting that level soon yourself.
Way to go Mark, congrats!
I’ve not checked my rank in months, I’m guessing it won’t be very good at all, but I’ll take this as a prompt.
Well done!

Congratulations! Great job. It’s not so easy to get high rank at Technorati at all, especially if you don’t like to ask people to favorite your site lol. I am very far away from you, still need do lots of work, only in Rank: 55,948 right now *shocked*…

I’ve yet to receive any movie deals :/ I did get an e-mail from someone who wanted to pay me to write about their wine. I’m not much of wine drinker though so I had to decline. Now if it were milk

@K
Hmmm, t-shirts. I’ll have to look into that.
@Mike H
Thank you! I never really thought much about it, but glad to have made the achievement.
@IngaOz
And thank you too for your kind words.
@Mike W
Well, seeing as how you’re into indie films, I guess that means you’ll be doing your own, which may be more fun anyway, come to think of it. I’m sending you a virtual “cheers” with milk!
@Tish
I do so appreciate that!
@Tay
5K? My fingers are crossed.
Next stop, the top 1K hehehe.
Nice going buddy

@Baron
Thank you, sir!
I was there for awhile, but now I’m going the wrong way
I had a bunch of inbound links from the Technorati Favorites Exchange that fell off because it has been more than 6 months now.
I don’t place a whole lot of value in Technorati’s algorithm because it doesn’t factor related links. For example, if a celebrity gossip blog linked to my site, that would have the same value as a technology blog linking to my site, though Google wouldn’t even count an inbound link from an unrelated site.
I definitely think there is some value in Technorati’s rankings, but it can be manipulated a bit like Alexa.

I couldn’t tell you how much mine is I don’t check it however despite what it is I still get offers weekly from solicitors, and my websites are doing very well. You can do well monetarily without the high ranking.
A few of my low ranking websites have proven that. In my case it had something to do with how I marketed myself and also had a lot to do with the type of content I provide.

It’s good to know that the solicitors are looking at you as the author/owner and the quality of your content and not the ranking. Good to see you hear.
Congratulations! I am so proud of you – who says hard work and effort don’t pay off :p
