How Would You Spend $800?
My friend, Matthew, of Blog About Your Blog (of which I’m a contributing author) is promoting a contest over at INVESP Consulting. They’re trying to increase their RSS subscriptions, and with up to $800 as the prize, I think they’ll do just that.
Here’s how it works
Subscribe to their feed. Easy enough, but there’s a little more to it than that. Between now and the end of August, they’ll slip in a secret word into that feed. Catch that word and email it to the address found in the post. Then they’ll have a drawing for $300.
But wait, there’s more!
If the person picked at random is also a member of the MyBlogLog community, they get an extra $100. And if they get up to 5,000 RSS subscribers, that lucky person will win double the prize, making it a hefty $800.
So, easy to enter, great prize, and you can learn something along the way. Makes sense to me.

I would spend $800 by heading back to the beach for a few more days. If I had to spend the money online I would use it on AdWords to promote affiliate products.

I would go dvd shopping. There are so many great dvd’s out there at the moment and the west wing season 7 is about to arrive on shelves here, too.
While I’m here, I wanted to mention this. After spending a few weeks enjoying many of the Do Follow blogs via the RSS feed, I’m in the process of adding a new section to my blog sidebar with links to my favourite reads. You’re one of them.
Whenever I add someone to my sidebar, I Stumble their blog, add them to my Technorati favourites, and link to the blog in my weekly wrap up which is done on Sundays. I hope the stumble brings you a bit of traffic and a few new readers.
