Hello? Anybody Here?
-
Yep, indeed I am! These past couple of weeks have been a little abnormal for several reasons, which have caused me to slow down on my posting frequency.I want to thank Garry and Christine for attempting to get me out of my funk. You two are great! (checks are in the mail)

And while I haven’t been posting much, I have been silently lurking around my usual haunts, so to speak, just to stay somewhat involved. The reasons I’ve been out of the loop aren’t necessarily Earth-shattering, though there is one I’m excited about (see #4):
- I’m a little burned out. There — I said it. I don’t like it, but I’m making strides at getting my blog spark back.
- Work at the office has been draining, leaving me with energy to browse the web more than actually participating in it. That, too, will be corrected because I do miss the interaction with everyone.
- Spring Break was last week, so I took the family (and dog) on a much-needed vacation.
- And lastly, I’ve been working on a super secret project this past month that I’m just about to release. It could be categorized as my first scoop in the blogosphere. I’m just about finished with it and plan on publishing it tomorrow. I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag, but I will say that it has something to do with Google and a product they’re rolling out.
So stay tuned!

Oh honey,
It’s so good to see a post from you. I can totally understand the whole blogger burnout thing. I’ve gone through it more than once, and I’ve only been doing this for a year. LOL
Taking the family on a vacation is a great idea, as I’m sure it gave you some much needed rest.
Can’t wait to see what your big secret is, but then again, I’ve always been the nosy type. LOL
Great to see you out and about again. We missed you.

Mark!!!
You remembered how to access and log into your blog! You know there have been life five WordPress updates since you last posted something, so I am sure you WP admin just flashing red with “UPDATE ME!!!” messages! LOL
Good to have you back. Just take things slow…. Type a few sentences and then give your fingers a break. This is a therapeutic and you’ll have to recondition your fingers again and get them used to typing.
Day One: Start with Twitter. Max characters are 140.
Day Two: Upload a pic to Flickr and give is a 50 word description.
Day Three: Your fingers should be getting stronger and you can attempt to write a 250 word post on MAMD. You very well may need to save your progress, take a brief walk and then come back to it.
Day Four: Now you’re ready to drop some comments. Be sure to comment on my blog (of course) and a few others. Remember no edits…so this is really the ultimate test for your fingers. You may need to calibrate them and get them back in frequency with your brain. If that is the case, simply take each index finger and stick them into your ears and wiggle them for about 4 minutes.
Day Five: You’re rocking rolling now… back to blogging full speed. Material and writing prompts are now needed. Once again, visit my blog for that. LOL (Christine’s too!) By this time you should be good to go. 500 to 1000 word articles….life is good.
LOL!!!… Ok I am done… welcome back. cya!

Mark,
I’m glad to see you back! I learn so much from your site and I really appreciate your outspoken ways.
It’s good to take some time away. Even as a newbie I learned that, and my husband appreciates when I don’t have the ‘screaming meemies’. We do lots of little picnics so I can remember there is a whole world away from the computer.
You have my curiosity piqued. I know so little about the mystery of Google that I’m looking forward to learning anything you want to share.
Glad you’re back!

Hey Kyle!
Thanks for the welcome.
Good to see you here as always. I’ll be making my way over soon.

@Brennan
Looks like my blog is having problems again with not notifying me of comments. Aaarggh! I login to check on some things and lo and behold, there are at least 20 comments waiting for me to moderate, which is a mystery in itself. Guess I better upgrade to 2.5 and see if that fixes things.
Anyway, yes, it’s good to get out every once in a while to help recharge the batteries. I think that was the main reason I got a little burned out, making it work instead of making it fun. That’s gonna change.

Hi Mark,
I heard about your post from Mike’s blog. It looks like many of us bloggers have been feeling a major lack of energy for the last while. It’s been a really long, dark winter this year and I think it’s got just about everybody in a funk.
I can’t wait to see your new project it sounds very interesting! I also can’t wait to see what new thing Google has going on as well.
Have a great day:)

@Christy
Indeed, must be the season. But I’m confident we’ll get back in the saddle soon. In fact, I do believe it’ll be sooner than previously thought.
Oh, and I’ve already posted about the Google product. Be sure to check it out. I think there’s still time to sign up for the freebies!
