Google Has Done It Again
It started with GooglePaper. I thought that was an interesting direction for them to take, but Google is known for making advancements in so many things anyway. I figured I read up on it later.
And then this morning I saw their new free (in beta) release of wireless broadband access, Google TiSp. At first I thought, “Cool!” I heard a while back that they were looking into providing Internet access. But then I read further.
There are two things that I find funny about this. First, as I kept reading to make sense of this, actually trying to make it “real”, I thought to myself that Google has gone off the deep end. Actually providing wireless service through your sewer lines? Who would go for that even if it was free?
But then I thought of finding more about it on digg.com. That’s when it hit me: April Fool’s!

LOL…but even then I thought surely Google can’t think this thing will ever fly with people. Do people really have an extra bathroom they’d devote to Internet access? HA! But that was before I realized the wool was being pulled over our eyes.
Good job, Google!
