Fleck With Friends
I discovered Fleck recently and saw its potential for bloggers and web designers alike. Fleck touts itself as a new layer of interactivity for the Web. Simply put: it’s a free service that enables users to annotate sites for others to see. The notes can be public or private.
Let’s say you’re a web designer working on a client’s site. This type of relationship usually means you’re working apart from them, so having a reliable way to communicate is very important. That’s where Fleck comes in.
With Fleck installed (a browser toolbar) you can create little post-it note-like notes all over the page. Or even better, your client could use it to provide feedback so there’s not mistaking if she’s talking about that graphic or this one.
For bloggers, you could use it to get your point across when writing reviews of other sites. Take a look over at Christy’s Coffee Break to see what I mean. You don’t even have to have a Fleck account to view the notes.
Fleck has toolbars for both Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Fleck is great for personal annotation, but I would have a tough time convincing my clients to actually install something. For web design annotation, you should check out Protonotes http://www.protonotes.com/

Fleck sounds to be interesting option for a designer. But I doubt if it would be a good option for a blogger. Doesn’t the annotation toolbar will annoy the regular readers who might not interested in Fleck?

While it could do a pinch, my approach was more of a quick fix to a common problem. Other services like GoToMyPC and such may be more appropriate for the sophisticated designer. Thanks for stopping by!
@Benedict: hey there, Benedict! The toolbar doesn’t have to be present all the time. So if someone is not interested in Fleck, that wouldn’t be a problem. But a benefit is that you don’t need the toolbar installed in order to read Fleck annotations (check out my link to Christy’s blog to see the example). And thank YOU for stopping by, too!

Mark, Now I got it! the tool bar is loaded only when accessed via fleck URL. Now it makes sense, it doesn’t trouble normal readers!! BTW, Thanks for the welcome
