Everybody Needs A Hero

  • I’m a huge fan of the TV series Heroes. If you haven’t caught on to it, then I highly recommend you do this evening on NBC 8 p.m. CST.

It’s about mankind entering a new stage in their evolution, where people are discovering unique abilities that make them extraordinary. Some use their powers for good, others for evil.

Aside from the great storytelling this show has, I like that they don’t cram the special effects down your throat. The show, IMHO, succeeds in being believable. If they started out with people dressing up in hot-colored spandex like comic book heroes, I believe the show would have fallen on its face after two weeks.

No, this one takes its time, showing you just the right balance of super powers and story, revealing a little bit here and there and always keeping you longing for more. This isn’t like Lost, where they drag… out… their…. storrryyy… line.

Sites abound on the Internet paying homage to the show, like Heroes Revealed. If you’re into picking up spoilers, that’s the place for you. For me, knowing what’s going to happen ahead of time makes me all the more anxious to see it.

    Here’s a sample:

Who isn’t a fan of Heroes? I loved the 20th episode but not the season ending. The season ending was so-so. It repeated things that we all know, and showed us that you can’t change your fate…

On the 20th episode, the scene where sylar and scar-face light up their fists is awesome!

    Hi Unluler,

You’re in for more Heroes because the season hasn’t ended yet. :) There are still two more episodes left. Woo-hoo!

Yeah, the show-down between Peter and Sylar would have been great to see the details of. Here’s hoping they’ll show more fireworks later down the road.

Thanks for stopping by and look forward to seeing you again!
