Cool CSS Editor: CSS Mate

  • You don’t have to be a programming whiz to do cascading style sheets (CSS). Okay, it helps, but with online tools like CSS Mate, you can fake it.

CSS Mate is a free CSS editor that I just discovered. I was creating a new contact page on another blog of mine, Darn Good Reviews. I wanted a quick way of adding a little flair to some text and not have to think too hard about it. (I’m tired, all right?)

Upon entering the properties in the forms, I could continuously see the results. When I was satisfied with what I had, I copied the code and pasted it into the page. Done!

P.S. I was creating that contact page to let everyone know I was accepting requests to be reviewed. Hint, hint.

The importance of this is not lost on me. It’s a great tool that will save us a lot of time. The time we saved could then be used for useful pursuits like my favorite time wasters

This is a great tool especially for those of us who are learning CSS. I just need to know how to fake it anyway!

Maybe I’ll start an online business based only on my use of free on line tools to fix little things for people and write simple code to help folks customize stuff. Of course, I’d charge $75.00 per hour and only quote ballpark figures to my precious customers…hehehe!
