If you have some time to spare and a good throwing arm, you’ll probably want to spend it with Bomb Wars.
You’re given the choice of playing a single player game or with others online. The playing court is a room with a grid and a chasm separating you from each other.
Move around to avoid the Tron-like discs (80s movie reference) being thrown by your opponent. You hear a satisfying “aaarggh” when you make a hit. And when a hit is made, you kind of blow up into pieces, but since you’re a stick figure, it’s not really all that messy. 
If you hit the floating platform in the chasm, you can score different weapons or abilities (one weapon I acquired had a nice mushroom cloud). The longer you hold down your space bar, the more power you give your throw.

It’s always great when somebody else provides you with an excuse for not being productive
I don’t know, with your family being a bunch of gamers, I suspect there’s not much need for excuses.
