5 Free Ways To Stop Stuffing Your Pie Hole

4 Free Ways To Stop Stuffing Your Pie HoleOkay, the holidays are over. Now it’s time to get serious about losing all those pounds we gained since our first bite of candy corn at Halloween.

Here are some sites to help you keep your eye on your New Year’s resolution to keep fit instead of keeping your eye on pie: :wink:

SugarStats – geared to diabetics this site helps monitor blood sugar levels and other important stats. Keep track of your progress online, collaborate with others to help stay motivated, manage your food intake and more.

Diettv.com – Find the best diets and exercise plans, track your progress, and learn more about keeping fit. They have some really cool tools to find the right diet based on your eating habits and preferences. It even shows you exercise plans tailored to your weight, height and activity level.

Extrapounds – this one’s unique. It’s actually providing people with free blog space to help keep track of their progress and build community.

RevolutionHealth – an overall health site loaded with all types of information, this one part of it provides you with goals and learning more about them so you have more of a chance to achieve them.

Weightcircles – get inspired by reading how others are doing with their weight loss goals, or provide words of encouragement for them. Blog about your achievements and even upload pictures. Other weight loss articles are provided to help keep you informed.

Of course, I don’t need to use these. You can’t improve these 6-pack abs of mine, unless (ahem) you count removing the actual 6-pack off my abs and start doing some sit-ups. :lol:

I gotta go – I think I smell bacon!

Ha Ha…”I think I smell bacon” rofl!

I don’t know about everyone else but I’ve been seriously hitting the treadmill to combat the damage of all of the chocolate and fruitcake. Just the look of a Christmas cookie is enough to make me queasy. Overindulgence would be an extreme understatement when describing what went on at our house this year, lol.

Mark…I think you might be a little disillusioned! I know all the parts of the human body…there’s no such thing as a “pie hole”. A woman doesn’t have an “oven” to place buns in either. I checked myself thoroughly, using a gooseneck flex-mirror and found no such hole. I had my neighbors check too, they didn’t see one…they did seem to enjoy the inspection though :mrgreen:

@K
Thanks buddy!

@Brown
Thanks! Found’em on the Net.

@Christy
Fruitcake? FRUITCAKE!? So you’re the reason it’s still being made? HAHAHA I hear ya about the overindulgence thing. I did plenty of that. I gotta learn to put the chocolate down. :)

@Fat Man
Glad to be of help. ;)

@Bobby
BWAHAHAHA! Darn it — I shoulda checked with you first. Reminds me of Ace Ventura 1 when he said, “The man with the rubber glove was surprisingly gentle.” LOL

Haha, great post, buddy. Perhaps you should also work on another which outlines five great ways to decrease your cravings for junk food at 2 in the morning. I could use that one :P

Mark (844 comments.) January 11, 2008 at 7:37 am

@Mike
Oh good idea! I should also include a method that keeps the pace at which ice cream is inserted into the mouth is kept at 2 spoonfuls (not ladles) per minute. I, er, remember reading that somewhere. :P

Mark (844 comments.) January 11, 2008 at 7:38 am

@Motivator
I do appreciate the comment! I did a Google image search on “pie hole”. :)

Well, it’s the usual ones everybody has every year: eat better, exercise, read a book (yeah, not be online and read something — that’s going to be a toughy!) :P

Thanks buddy. Not sure what you mean by that exactly, so I can only speculate. But anyway, you too! ;)

Btw, what graphics program did you use to design your Christmas header image? I recall a while back…November, to be precise, that you had used Inkscape for the Be The Blog graphic (I Googled your post and my comment on it), and was wondering if you used that particular graphics editor for you header image as well?

I haven’t utilized Inkscape yet, so I’m not entirely familiar with its capabilities and such. Nonetheless, I am looking to design a brand new header for my blog. While I do like the current one, as simple as it is, I feel that I can (and should) perhaps do better.

I do have a few good programs I can go with, but was wondering if you had any that you’ve used and recommend.. If you can, please shoot me a comment or an email to let me know. Thanks buddy.

Shine on,
Aaron

Sorry for the late reply, buddy.

Yes, it was Inkscape I used as I do a lot of my graphics. For being a free program, it’s an awesome tool packed with many features you’d find in Adobe Illustrator. That said, it’s NOT Illustrator, but as you can seen from my work, it that hasn’t been much of a hindrance. Let me know if you have any questions about it, but I think you’ll be pleased.

The glorious “6 pack abs” you speak of aren’t possibly with just sit ups. Really sit ups aren’t effective at all. The whole idea of “toning” is wrong. There’s really no such thing. Muscles are either bigger or smaller. So then, you want the muscles to be bigger – that means heavy weight – just like with any other muscle. But then the real rub is (and this leads to your post) people who can’t get their dreamed of 6 pack – … well they aren’t eating right. You can’t have a 6 pack if you have a layer of fat over your stomach muscles! A 6 pack is made in the kitchen, not in the gym!

@Health is love
Hehe…thanks for taking the time to say that. Indeed, the kitchen is where 6-pack abs are made, so I’d better stop doing those junk food curls. :)

That’s a great list Mark. I’d highly recommend RevolutionHealth, very nice and packed with info.

Best way to lose belly fat: eliminate saturated fats and especially trans fats from your diet. I lost a lot of weight on the Atkins diet but have changed my diet since a major bypass surgery last year. I finally lost my belly fat completely and it feels very good! Gotta keep those arteries from plugging up again.

Welcome to MeAndMyDrum! Good to hear of your success. I could definitely do without all the fat I consume on a daily basis. It’s the discipline I have the most struggle with.
