3 Magazine WordPress Themes You Don’t Want To Miss

It seems magazine style WordPress themes show no signs of slowing down. Personally, I think that’s a good thing because we need something fresh. Plus, from a practical standpoint they help to serve the “give it to me in bite-size chunks” mentality we have from time to time.I’ve rounded up three such themes that I think are worthy of your consideration. Only one of them has to be purchased, but I think you’ll see why when you take a look.
Mimbo Magazine (free)
Oh baby, do I have plans for this for a new blog I’m working on. Very clean and a nice balance between text and images. I also love the drop-down menus in the nav bar at top.
Revolution – Magazine Style (pay)
This is the one that’s pay-for, but honestly, you’ll get no argument from me. It’s a darn good layout that’s well-thought out. There are two other themes that are variations that you’ll find when you work the demo — all equally as nice. Single and mutli-use licenses are available depending on your needs.
Cybercafe Sandbox (free)
A very narrow theme, but still possesses elements that make it a magazine theme.

I’ll be customizing Mimbo on my local machine. Of course, it’ll be added to other theme customization/tweaks that I’ve been testing. The problem is I’d like to use at least 3 designs at the same time hehehe

I like the Revolution theme the best, although it might need some tweaking, it looks really professional.

What a coincidence, I was just looking at the Resolution theme earlier today. It’s really nice. Not sure I’d pay 100 bucks for it though, considering how often I get bored of layouts
I’ve been hunting for just the right three column theme for a while now. Still haven’t found one that completely wows me yet though. If I weren’t so lazy I’d just make one myself ;P

Great finds! I actually bought that Revolution theme and it was WELL worth every penny.
The others are very nice also, especially that top one.

Revolution does look sweet. Very professional. Again with me though, I don’t feel I really have a place for magazine themes but who knows. I’ll probably start another site in a week that will call for it. (#);D

I bought the Revolution theme a few months ago. I use it on my alternative healing website. I like Mimbo also I might use it for a another website.

The site has been up since May. http://www.healingyourselfnaturally.com I’ve been running into a problem with the sidebars so I need to figure out what’s going on. Finding the time can be hard.
I’m using the first theme, Mimbo, on my Weight Loss website. I have not posted over there in at least a few months and I still get traffic. I’ve created meal plans for people and I thought it would be great to have them online however I don’t want to blog about that every day! I would be experiencing major blog burnout especially wit all the websites I have.
This theme is just what I’m looking for! I’ll be linking to this article later this week when I do my roundups and I’m going to add it too my Word Press Resources page.

I know what you mean about warding off blog burnout. It’s very easy to do if left unchecked. Good that you’re thinking about it now before it takes you in. I think you’ve done a fine job with your healing blog – nice and clean.

Thanks for the great post – I really like the first one you listed, especially for it being free and all. I like the second one as well but I don’t think I’d paid a hundred dollars for it. That’s a very good deal for such a great theme but I get bored of layouts quickly so I couldn’t make such a commitment. Hehe.
